Q: What scrap waste do you not accept?
A: Due to environmental regulations we cannot accept the following
metal waste items: Gas Cylinders, Aerosol Cans,
Oil Filters, (unless attached to an engine).
Q: What batteries do you accept?
A: We currently only accept lead acid batteries (car batteries).
We cannot accept Nickel NiCad, Gel, Mercury or Calcium Batteries.
Q: The part I've received in the post,
is the wrong bit, do you give refunds?
A: In any case, we will try to exchange the part, We will only
issue refunds for the car part but not on the postage unless the
part we sent is in our error. All car parts are class as second hand
goods. We will offer credit and exchange for other parts up to
the value.
Q: How much is my car worth?
A: Scrap metal prices change in the market all the time, please call
our friendly staff now for a price on your vehicle.
Q: Can I take the car part off my self?
A: Yes you can. We can also remove the part and post it but
this will incur a fee. Our yard is open for visitors to come
and remove the part they want. You will need to bring your own
tools and wear sensible shoes (not sandals) and comply with our yard
regulations.
Q: Can I scrap my old telephone or other
electrical appliance?
A: Yes you can. Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
is any appliance that has batteries or a plug. Much work is still
needed to recycle these products and as such we cannot pay a scrap
value for them. We can pay for computers containing circuit
boards & wires as there are more precious metals found in these.
Q: Are you open on bank holidays?
A: Yes. Opening times may vary but we do open bank holidays.
